Last Blog

Okay so this is officially my last blog post for English 121 Sec 031 Winter 2009. Here are some of the things I have learned so far; How to make and manage a blog, how to make a wikipedia account and a wikipedia page, The difference between APA and MLA formating, and various ways of researching. The big projects I have done were Wikipedia page, Research paper, Persuasion paper with two other criteria, and maintaining a blog. Beyond those big projects I have had to do miniture homework papers and in class assignments. At this moment I am working on my Persuasion paper for peer editing on Tuesday and the Final on the Tues after that, my last two English classes.

Today

Okay so I have One class left today, then it's celebration of student writing. I'm in the blogging group, I know we have one of Tucker Max's blog pages, Tom from Myspace's profile page, and Disney's blog for auditions. Now what's left to do a whole lot of homework, but I keep leaving it at home, oops.

stuck

So right now I am doing all my homework trying to get caught up in everything, but I have a slight problem I know the annotated bibliographys are supossed to be aroung 3 pages, but how many sources were we suppossed to have???

WCW 3

Last one today, can't wait to get it done. Then the rest of my time will go to finishing projects for the end of all my classes, and summer will come early for me!!!

Yesterday

Okay so my research paper is done and corrected. I'm hoping for a good day here on campus. Had a rough day yesterday, my first two classes went horrible plus I couldn't find my parking pass that morning, I will hopefully find it today. My last class yesterday went fine so as the day progressed it got better.

One more page

Okay I'm still looking for one of my sources, I already know what it says but need to have the name of the newspaper. After that I only got 1-2 more pages to write Excited almost done!!!!!

No Homework

I'm am Really Glad, Andre did'nt give us any homework for tomorrow, it gives me more time to work on my research paper.

WCW

The writing center workshop wasn't canceled and was also pretty good. I learned how to concentrate on what I'm doing as well as the college reading. Now that I have the college reading startegies I think they'll also be good for writing.

Research Paper

Okay so i haven't done any post since break, so I'm doing this one now. Working on researching private owned business's right now. I have also successfully got the number for my uncle's employee, now I'm just hoping to call and get ahold of him for a phone interview. Hope all goes well. Next I'm hoping my workshop is still going on today I registered for it a few days ago, but never received a confirmation email.

Okay My wikipedia page is still up so thats good, I went and fixed my references. So just hoping it continues to stay

Wikipedia Assignment

Okay I think I figured this out I hope I did this right. Guess I'll find out in class tomorrow? Did it have to be a certain length???

Wikipedia Help

Oopss trying to make wikipedia pg and can't find my notes from the day we went over how to set up the pg!!! Does someone have them let me know please??!!!

Oops

I went to a writing workshop Mon. and it was for using your writing handbook. I thought your writing handbook ment whatever English book your class was using, nope I was wrong. On top of that mistake I thought the papers were one to two pgs. not two to three so oh well It's done now.

Workshops and Wikipedia

I have signed up for a workshop on Monday- to be honest it's the only one that doesn't conflict with a class of mine before next week! Other than that I've started to do my researching on my Uncle's company and after filtering through some articles I have only one source, the company's homepage. What should I do?

Behind on homework

So I'm a little behind on my english homework, but not having anything due on Thursday really helps. Now that my book is here I can complate the assignment that was due today.

10min Q's

As I sit here I'm writing my homework for Listening Behavior tomorrow, hopefully writing the observation correctly, but to let people know asking only questions for a whole ten minutes can be painful, as I have come to find out.

Wikipedia

Today in class I had the idea of my entry being on my Uncle's company stared by my Grandfather. I looked it up and there were quite a few entrys so I limited it by adding the city and there were no entrys. I made sure I could find information on it by searching google with the eact wordin I searched Wikipedia and sure enough there it was. In conclusion I have found my entry. Now my only question is if you are placing personal knowledge of the company how do you do that?

Tap Shoes

I've had a pretty good day. Some things have turned out better than I would have thought. I went to Modern and English today forgetting my papers that were due for both, but I have emailed them to my teachers hopefully that will do. However I was supposed to bring a cd of something I enjoy listening to for Listening behavior and I forgot one. I remembered about it In the car on my way to School, and since I live half'an'hour to 45mins away I did not have time to turn around or go home between classes. I decided to leave it as it was with nothing to bring in, however when I was digging my notebook out of my backpack I saw my Tap shoes. I decided to use my Tap shoes on the ground for my sound I enjoy listening to, since I like almost all types of dance including Tap.

The Rest of Today

The rest of today went fine, my classes were good. I have left to do today is quiz practice and co-teach at church. I succesfully made another blog, and I have managed to follow most of our classes blogs. I think there were threee people who blogs I couldn't find the "follow this blog" spot.

My Morning

Okay so last semester I only put one car on my parking pass, so I was stuck driving that car all semester. So for this semester I put both my family's cars on it. I comute from home. I came up to the school on Sunday for production hours. I drove the Escape that day. Well my mom dropped me off yesterday, so I didn't use my parking pass. I wake up this morning my dad took the escape to work and I can't find my parking pass. Needless to say my mom had to drive me here again today and thats a waste of gas.

School Thus Far...

So my blog is up and running. My school is going fine at this point in time. So far for English I've have been given four assignments. My first assignment we had to write a 1pg paper on an advertisement, I got my grade back for that today. Today I also turned in my assignment we had to write about Kings "Letter from Birringham Jail". We had to explain his organization and let me tell you it was a long letter. You already know about the blog asssignment so the next assignment is writing a paper about Wikipedia's rules for posts.

In my other classes there are a few papers and thats fine. My biggest concern right now I guess would be with my Into to African American Theatre class. The class itself is pretty neat, but it's an eCompanion class with all online tests. The problem occurs with my dial-up computer. I'll have to stay at Eastern late on tests days, and I hope I'll be able to drop the tests in the dropbox on time.

Blog Assigment Engl 121

Okay so here's the deal, my English teacher at Eastern wants all students in his class to keep a blog. Not a big problem, so here's mine. We are suppossed to write about things in class we dislike or like. The blog idea is all really cool, I kind of like it. Though I'm not really sure about our next assignment. Our three main papers have to do with a Wikipedia entry that we have to make. The problem, I'm a commuter and have a dial-up phone line. I guess we'll have to wait and see how that goes. Other than writing about our English assignments we can write about whatever we want. As long as we mostly use this for English.
